Research — Ecological rehabilitation — 2023
Location
Alps, France
Area
120 m²
A local stone, laid by a shepherd who never knew the word bioclimatic but knew exactly where the wind dropped. How can we rehabilitate existing mountain buildings by integrating bioclimatic principles without compromising their identity? This research project explores the transformation of Alpine shelters into autonomous and resilient dwellings, capable of adapting to climate change.
Developed as part of a training programme in architecture

"To rehabilitate is to listen to what a building tells you before imposing a new narrative upon it."
